About Leah
While writing briefs and memos as a lawyer, I began to realize that my heart just was not in it. I would come home at night, read magazine articles, books and blogs, and dream of writing in a more creative way. In 2013, I started blogging at georgiapeachonmymind.com as a way to document my cooking adventures (and blunders). I discovered a passion for recipe development and food photography. Now, I write about things that I love – food, travel, fashion, health, business and family. I also find female entrepreneurs incredibly inspiring and I love telling their stories.
My work has appeared in www.fromthegrapevine.com (writing and photography), The Fulton County Daily Report and The State Newspaper. I also do creative copywriting for corporate clients.
Prior to working as a writer, I practiced real estate law in New York City, worked as a prosecutor in Columbia, South Carolina and clerked for a federal judge in Charleston, South Carolina. I am a graduate of Duke University and Cardozo Law School.
I live in Atlanta with my husband and we are expecting a little one this August. When I’m not glued to the computer, I can be found taking walks, going to spin class, listening to podcasts, reading magazines, binge watching shows with my husband, drinking champagne and making delicious dinners.
